Forgiveness 

Forgiveness. 

Such a simple word, 

And yet so hard. 

I cannot do it on my own, 

I need you, God. 

  

Free my heart from its chains, 

Set me free to love. 

I need redemption, 

Rescued from above. 

  

Forgiveness. 

A small ‘I’m sorry’ 

Comes to mind. 

But that’s not enough. 

You want more. 

  

Free my heart from the grudges I hold, 

Let me be like you. 

Change me from the inside out, I wanna be like you.
